Doodlings takes a photograph of a drawing and brings it to life on the phone. This page explains what happens to that photograph. The short answer is that it never leaves the device, and this page exists mostly to say so precisely.

Doodlings has no account, no server and no analytics. It makes no network requests of any kind. Your child's drawings, and the photographs of them, are stored on the phone and nowhere else.
There is nothing for us to look at, nothing for us to lose, and nothing to delete from a server, because none of it was ever sent to one. Deleting the app removes everything.
All of this lives inside the app's own storage on your device, covered by the phone's own encryption, and is included in your device or iCloud backup if you make one.
| What | Where it is kept |
|---|---|
| The cut-out drawings | Image files in the app's private storage on the device. |
| The first name you type at setup | The app's settings on the device. It is used only to put a name on a heading. You can change it or clear it in Settings at any time. |
| Which world you were last looking at, and how many drawings you have made | The app's settings on the device. |
Doodlings asks for one thing: the camera, so you can photograph a drawing. iOS asks you at the moment you first use it, and you can refuse or change your mind in the iOS Settings app.
It never asks for your photo library, because it never gets access to it. Choosing a drawing you photographed earlier goes through Apple's own photo picker, which runs outside the app and hands back only the single image you tapped. iOS says so on that screen itself: your library is shown there, but Doodlings can only see the item you select.
The photograph is then processed on the device, the drawing is cut out of it, and the cut-out is what gets saved. The original stays wherever it already was: if you took it in the app, it is not added to your camera roll at all.
Doodlings is made for a parent to use with their child, and the App Store account, the phone and the subscription all belong to the adult.
We do not collect anything from anybody, so we do not collect anything from children either. There is no sign-up, no profile, no message field, no way to share to anyone else from inside the app, and no advertising. Nothing a child draws or types can reach us or any third party.
A drawing is also all the app ever asks for. It never asks for a photograph of a child.
Doodlings Plus is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment entirely and we never see your card details, your address or your Apple Account.
The app asks the App Store on the device whether a valid subscription exists and gets back yes or no. That check happens between the phone and Apple. Apple's own privacy policy covers the purchase itself, and your subscription can be cancelled in the iOS Settings app.
Because Doodlings processes everything locally and we receive no personal data, there is no processing by us that needs a legal basis under the GDPR, and no records for us to give you, correct or erase.
Your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection still apply to any personal data we do hold, which in practice means an email you have sent us. Write to admin@brandpeneur.com and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
To erase everything the app holds, delete a drawing inside the app, or delete the app itself, which removes all of it from the device.
If Doodlings ever starts sending anything anywhere, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it, and the app will say so before it takes effect.
