Doodlings turns a child's drawing into something that moves. If it is not doing that, one of the things below is usually why.

It says it could not find a drawing

The app looks for a drawing on a sheet of paper, so it needs to be able to tell the two apart. It works best when:

A drawing filled in with colour works well. A very light pencil sketch on white paper is the hardest case there is, because there is so little difference between the line and the page.

Part of the drawing is missing

Thin lines can be dropped on purpose: that is the same rule that removes the ruling printed on lined paper, the grain of the page and any pencil guides underneath. Drawing over the line more firmly, or using a thicker pen, fixes it.

My creature is behind the buttons, or too small

Creatures are sized against the screen and against how many are already in that world, so a busy reef makes each one smaller. Delete one you have finished with and the rest grow again.

Restoring a purchase

Settings, then Restore a purchase. It has to be the same Apple Account that bought the subscription. To cancel, use the iOS Settings app: your name, then Subscriptions.

Where the drawings are kept

On the phone, and nowhere else. Doodlings has no account and no server, so drawings do not move between devices, and deleting the app deletes them. Details are in the privacy policy.
