Memorylens Support

Memorylens shows you photographs you took on this day in previous years.

Email admin@brandpeneur.com and you will get a reply from a person, usually within a couple of days.

The first day feels slow

Your memories appear straight away, but going through a whole library takes a while the first time, because every photo has to be looked at once. Leave the app open on wifi for a few minutes. After that it only ever looks at photos you have taken since, so it is quick from then on.

It says there is nothing from today

Some days you genuinely have nothing from previous years. When that happens the app looks back through the past week and shows the nearest day it can find, and tells you it has done so. If a day is completely empty, try again tomorrow.

A photo I do not want keeps appearing

Tap the eye icon on any memory and choose Hide forever. It will never surface again. The photo stays in your camera roll, untouched. If you had a backed up copy of it, that copy is deleted too.

Too much junk is getting through

Screenshots are always hidden. For everything else, open Settings and raise Filter strength. Higher means fewer memories but better ones. You can also turn videos off there.

A photo is stuck loading

If you use iCloud Photos with Optimise iPhone Storage, the full picture may not be on your phone and has to come down first. It should appear blurry and then sharpen. If it stays blurry, check your connection.

Changing when the daily reminder arrives

Settings, then Daily reminder. You can move the time or switch it off entirely. There is one notification a day and nothing else, ever.

Changing how shared photos look

Settings, then Share frame. Four layouts, each on paper or ink, previewed against one of your own photos.

Deleting everything

Settings, then Delete everything. That erases your account, every copy we hold, and everything we worked out about your library. It cannot be undone. Your camera roll is not touched.

Deleting the app on its own does not delete your data, so do this first if that is what you want.

Privacy

What we store and why is set out in full in the privacy policy. Short version: information about every photo, copies of only the few that become memories, and nothing sold or shared with anyone.
